The
background
In parallel to Graphic Art, Renos kept his interest in Fine
Art alive with workshops in composition and painting at Sir John Cass but
above all Life Drawing which he studied for many years, first
at St Martins School of Art then at Byam Shaw School of Art
under Ann Dowker. Added to these were several painting and
drawing workshops at the Slade and the Prince Charles Drawing
Foundation.
Most of his life he has expressed himself as a Graphic Design
Artist but he is now taking Fine Art to a much more serious
and professional level.
He is also involved with his local art scene in Barnet, Hertfordshire.
Artist's Statement
"I have a great passion for nature and what surrounds
it. Whether they are flowers, fields, mountains, lakes, creatures
of the wild, seascapes, boats or peoples activities. I enjoy
every opportunity to travel around the country or abroad
to places which inspire me, always accompanied by a sketchbook
and camera, then complete my work in my studio.
In recent
years I have been attracted by the beauties of the Greek
Islands, Nepal, The Canadian Rockies, British Columbia, Italy
of course and in general London, the Lake District, the West
Country and the South Coast. Only time prevents me covering
everything that I admire and long to put on canvas.
My future
will be a natural development of my current figurative work
without limitations or planning. Emotions and feelings are
executed in a spontaneous and expressionist way - as it comes."
His Work
Renos' work has been exhibited since the late 1960's in group,
duo and solo exhibitions. They have all been viewed favourably
and many artworks have been purchased by individuals, private
collections, business and banking groups.
